CONFUSION
Definition: A state in which things are uncertain, foggy or jumbled; bewilderment; when one cannot act with clarity or understanding.
1. Confusion is not of the Lord

2 Corinthians 11:3 [The Devil tries to complicate matters and cause us to question] But I fear, lest by any means, as the Serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
James 1:8 [The Enemy tries to weaken or hinder us by getting us confused or “double-minded”:] A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. [See also Hosea 10:2a]
2. Sometimes we bring confusion upon ourselves by disobedience or unconfessed sin.

Daniel 9:7,8 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto Thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. 8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee.

3. When we are praying and in tune with the Lord, He makes things simple and clear.

4. We can avoid confusion before it starts by keeping our minds on the Lord and His Word. The Lord gives us peace of mind, which keeps confusion at bay.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
Psalm 1:2,3 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

5. When we feel confused, we need to stop and pray for understanding.
Deuteronomy 4:6,7 Keep therefore [the statutes of God] and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon Him for? [See also Psalm 111:10]

6. When feeling confused it often helps to ask for prayer and counsel.
